According to the website    BEATLESNEWS.COM  ..  thousands of people are expected to descend on Liverpool on October 5th to be part of Beatles history. The Guinness World Record attempt by the people of Liverpool to sing The Beatles’ Love Me Do in the round. Choirs, school children, Beatles fans and tourists from all over the world.  The record for the most people singing ‘in a round’ currently stands at 897, singing Danke Schoen in celebration of the 25th anniversary ofFerris Bueller’s Day Off, in Chicago last October.

The record attempt is part of a year-long program of events across Liverpool City Region to mark  “Liverpool Celebrates 50 Years Of The Beatles”.
