Statement from Caltrans about todays closure of the southbound 215 in Riverside:Caltrans is conducting an additional exploratory investigation on southbound (SB) Interstate 215 (I-215) at the Chicago Ave undercrossing. This investigation is necessary to help determine the cause of the bridge incident took place on Tuesday, August 31 in Riverside. On Tuesday, September 7 from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the number 2, 3 and 4 lanes will be closed on SB I-215 from just south of the 60/91/215 interchange to south of the Chicago Ave undercrossing. In addition, the SB I-215 flyover connector to SB I-215 /eastbound (EB) State Route (SR) 60 will be closed to help ensure the safety of workers and motorists in the work zone. The following detours are available for motorists:

 

 

Market St exit, turn left go under freeway and then turn left to enter EB SR-60. Continue on EB SR-60 to SB I-215.Take the westbound (WB) SR-60 connector, continue on WB SR-60 to the go under the freeway and then turn left to enter EB SR-91. Take the connector on the right to enter SB I-215 / EB SR-60. Caltrans appreciates the patience of the traveling public while we complete this necessary work. Continue on SB I-215 to WB SR-91, take the Mission Inn Ave exit, turn left
