The crisis at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant may be worse than the 1986 Chernobyl meltdown. Plant operator Tokyo Electric Power is making that dire assessment after admitting it has not been able to stop radiation from leaking from the plant.

A lawyer for the three has sent the city a letter demanding damages and an apology. Banning’s police chief denies dsicriminations and tells the Press Enterprise that the officers were fired or disciplined for major misconduct.
