It’s a mixed decision from the U.S. Supreme Court regarding Arizona’s controversial anti-immigration law.  The high court has rejected parts of the law that require immigrants to carry papers and forbid them from applying for work.  It also said the law encroached on the federal government’s powers to regulate immigration. Meantime, it now appears that the Supreme Court will not release its decision on President Obama’s health care law until Thursday.

Firefighters have stopped the progress a 12 acre brush fire in Lytle Creek. Residents of five cabins were evacuated as a precaution.

The man who ambushed and then shot a Riverside cop with his own gun is in court today for his sentencing and it’s expected he will receive the death penalty. Earl Ellis Green was convicted in May of murdering Officer Ryan Bonaminio after a foot chase through Fairmont Park.

A teacher and four students at AB Miller High School in Fontana were arrested over the weekend for an alleged hazing incident. Police say the teacher, Emmanuel De La Rosa was aware that students had assaulted another student and may have encouraged their actions.

A new survey finds that more than one-in-four Americans have no money in savings, and nearly half don’t have enough emergency savings to pay for three months of basic expenses.

“Brave” is the big winner at this weekend’s box office. The Disney Pixar movie earned more than 66-million-dollars over the weekend. Madagascar 3 was second.
