
Two people were killed and two others critically injured in a fiery crash in Hemet late last night. Authorities say a car was broadsided by an SUV that crossed the center divider near Warren and Poplar Roads. Both drivers died at the scene. Four people, including two with critical injuries, wwere taken to a local hospital.
Three men are behind bars for allegedly setting a fire in the Jurupa Valley High School parking lot after they were turned away from a Fourth of July celebration on Tuesday. The men were refused entrance to the school’s football stadium because they were caught trying to smuggle in alcohol.

Some 4th of July revelers in San Diego were disappointed last night after the citys biggest fireworks display went up in smoke. Officials say a technical problem caused the fireworks to shoot off all at once in the Port of San Diego. The glitch resulted in a massive but brief show in which 20 minutes worth of fireworks lit up the sky for a total of less than 15 seconds.
