
Two 15 year old boys have been arrested for allegedly plotting a “serious threat” against students and staff at Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta. Both boys were arrested last week and were students at the school. The teens allegedly revealed their plans on line but its not clear what was being plotted or when. Parents of Vista Murrieta High School students were notified of the arrests on Friday.
Hollywood director Tony Scott has committed suicide by jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro yesterday afternoon. A uicide note was found in his car parked on the bridge. The British born Scott directed blockbusters like Top Gun and Days of Thunder. He was 68.
Singer Scott McKenizie who had a hit with “San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair) in 1967 has died at the age of 73.
A wildfire in northern California is forcing about three thousand people from their homes. The fire startedSaturday while hundreds of lightning strikes pounded Shasta and Tehama counties. At least 12 thousand acres have burned.
Long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad continues her attempt to swim from Cuba to South Florida, as she battles jellyfish and choppy waters. Nyad dove into the water at Havana Saturday afternoon, for her fourth attempt to swim 103 miles across the Florida Straits. She hopes to reach the Florida Keys tomorrow.
