Investigations continue into yesterday morning’s deadly freeway chase that ended with a fiery crash in Highland. CHP officers began pursuing a speeding Corvette along the 210 in Arcadia. It continued until the driver lost control and crashed into a bridge pillar at the 210 and Highway 330 at Route 330 in Highland. The unidentified female driver died at the scene.

Two suspected bank robbers are behind bars after a bizarre police chase in South LA yesterday. As police chased the suspects in a stolen SUV, the men began throwing cash out the windows and local residents rushed in to the streets to scoop up the bills. The suspects were finally captured in heavy traffic but a mob surrounded police. Riot police had to disperse the crowd.

Police in Corona seized 25 pounds of metamphetamine yesterday afternoon and arrested four men asscoaited with a Mexican drug cartel.

Violent, anti-American protests are spreading across the Middle East as anger grows in the Muslim world over an Internet movie, that ridicules the Prophet Muhammed. Protesters stormed the grounds of the American embassy in Yemen this morning.

We will have a close encounter with a large asteroid this evening which will shoot by within less than two-million miles of Earth. The asteroid is the size of a 14-story building.
