
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Rancho Cucamonga this morning. The unidentified victim was hit at around 5 am near 8th and Baker. No one on board the train was hurt. All Metrolink trains from San Bernardino to LA have been delayed indefinitely while this investigation continues. As an alternative, Metrolink officials say you can take a train from San Bernardino to Riverside and than continue to Los Angeles.

The California Department of Public Health is warning consumers not to eat certain brands of licorice candy because they may contain high levels of lead. They include Red Vines Black Licorice Twists, Family Mix, Mixed Bites and Snaps containing black licorice.
Apple is “blown away” by the response to the new iPhone 5, a company spokesperson says. Pre-orders for the phone sold out within the first hour on Friday and long lines are predicted when the phones go on sale in stores later this week. Apple’s website says phones ordered online won’t be delivered until October 5th at the earliest.
