A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Rancho Cucamonga this morning. The unidentified victim was hit at around 5 am near 8th and Baker. No one on board the train was hurt. All Metrolink trains from San Bernardino to LA have been delayed indefinitely while this investigation continues. As an alternative, Metrolink officials say you can take a train from San Bernardino to Riverside and than continue to Los Angeles.

It was one year ago today the Occupy Wall Street movement got its start. To mark the occasion, demonstrators are planning to flood the streets of New York City’s financial district and forming a human wall around the New York Stock Exchange.

A San Bernardino man was struck and killed by several cars early Sunday morning after either falling or jumping from the Valencia Ave overpass onto the 210 freeway. The 48 year old mans name has not been released.

The Inland Empire has the highest foreclosure rate in the nation. 24/7 Wall Street says about one in every 68 homes was in foreclosure in the 2nd quarter of the year, and 21-and-a-half-percent of all home sales were repossessed properties.

The California Department of Public Health is warning consumers not to eat certain brands of licorice candy because they may contain high levels of lead. They include Red Vines Black Licorice Twists, Family Mix, Mixed Bites and Snaps containing black licorice.

Apple is “blown away” by the response to the new iPhone 5, a company spokesperson says. Pre-orders for the phone sold out within the first hour on Friday and long lines are predicted when the phones go on sale in stores later this week. Apple’s website says phones ordered online won’t be delivered until October 5th at the earliest.

American Idol now has its new judges panel for the upcoming season…Mariah Carey will be joined by Nicki Minaj, country singer Keith Urban and Randy Jackson. Season 12 of Idol kicks off in January.
