In the video, Romney described voters who will likely support President Obama as people who view themselves as victims and who expect the government to provide for them. Romney sayshe could have made his point in a better way, but he’s sticking by what he said.

Firefighters have put out a thirty acre fire in Banning. The fire started yesterday morning near Bluff Street. No structures were damaged.

A domestic dispute may have drove a 56-year-old Inland Empire man to allegedly murder his girlfriend, whose body was found inside a submerged vehicle at Big Bear Lake.  Ronald Hitchcock was arrested Saturday morning after deputies found him soaking wet at a locked gate at Meadow Park.  A Sheriff’s dive team recovered his sunken car and found 53-year-old Deborah Crouch and a dog dead inside.  Police haven’t identified a motive, but they’re reportedly investigating evidence collected from the couple’s home in Erwin Lake.

An investigation is underway in Rancho Cucamonga where a pedestrian was hit and killed on MetroLink train tracks.  The incident happened early yesterday morning near Baker Avenue and 8th Street.  Police say the 40-year-old Moreno Valley man was trespassing on the railroad’s right of way.

One of Riverside County’s most heavily-traveled roads has undergone an all-weather improvement. Two new bridges linking Riverside and Jurupa Valley over the Santa Ana River are completed. The 32-million-dollar span on Van Buren Boulevard took three years to finish.
