Lindsay Lohan was arrested in New York City early this morning after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident. TMZ.com reports that Lindsay’s car allegedly clipped a pedestrian while pulling into a hotel in downtown. A passenger got out and checked the car and Lindsay went inside the hotel. She was arrested on the misdemeanor when she left the hotel and later released. The pedestrian had no visible injuries but is being examined at a hospital.

Space Shuttle Endeavour has taken off from Kennedy Space Center mounted atop a specially-modified 747 on what will be its final journey. The retired orbiter will spend the next several days on a slow, cross-country trek arriving at Edwards Air Force Base on Thursday and it will be driven to the California Science Center in Los Angeles on FRiday.

The teachers strike is over in Chicago and kids are headed back to school today for the first time in over a week. Teachers union representatives voted to approve a tentative contract yesterday afternoon,

American Airlines is cutting flights and plans to layoff thousands of workers. American announced yesterday that it’s told more than eleven-thousand employees they could lose their jobs as the airline goes through bankruptcy reorganization.

The latest operating system from Apple will be unleashed today. The iOS 6 features a new app call PassBook that’s essentially a digital purse. It’ll allow people to store and organize digital versions of such things as movie tickets, flight boarding passes and coupons.
