
The space shuttle Endeavour will take a tour up and down the California coast today, from its perch atop a 747. The orbiter spent the night at Edwards Air Force Base and is slated to fly over Northern California before heading south to the LA basin. Beginning at about 1130 this morning, the shuttle will fly low over landmarks like Disneyland, the Griffith Observatory and JPL before landing at LAX. The shuttle will be moved to a display at the California Science Center in LA next month.

A San Bernardino County jury has wrapped-up its second week of deliberations in the case of convicted arsonist and murderer Rickie Lee Fowler. Jurors will decide whether Fowler will be sentenced to life with no-parole or get the death penalty. He was found guilty last month of starting the Old Fire in 2003.
