
Arrow Highway in Upland is closed this morning after a fatal hit and run crash late last night. Authorities say a speeding pick up truck slammed into a car at the intersection of Arrow and Campus. The car ended up crashing into a vacant home and the pick up struck a pole. A 13 year old boy in the car was killed and his mother was injured. The driver of the pick up fled the scene but was later arrested at his home in Ontario.
Skyrocketing gas prices should be easing soon. Market analysts say refinery issues that caused prices to leap over 50 cents a gallon last week have been halted, and motorists should see them fall in the coming week.
Wells Fargo is offering a 25-thousand-dollar reward for information about a deadly shooting outside a Victorville ATM. 56-year-old Duane Murley was shot and killed inside his truck shortly after withdrawing some cash early Sunday morning. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is being sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison for child molestation. The sentence just came down moments ago during a hearing in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Sandusky is 68-years-old and was convicted of more than 40 counts of child sex abuse.

Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner’s plans to skydive from 23 miles above Earth are on hold this morning because of winds in New Mexico, but his team is still hoping he can make the jump. The man known as “Fearless Felix” will be wearing only a pressurized spacesuit and a parachute when he jumps headfirst out of a capsule, hoping to set a new record for the highest and fastest free fall in history. Baumgartner hopes to takeoff from a helium balloon, ascend to 120-thousand feet above earth and then make the leap. Baumgartner and his team are standing by, hoping that winds will die down in time to launch the balloon before the window for a high altitude flight closes.
