A Lake Elsinore man wanted for the murder of his girlfriend back in August has been captured in Rosarito, Mexico.

A warrant was issued for 28 year old Joseph Dorsey after the body of 47 year old Christine Osborne Stewart of Canyon Lake was found in a suitcase at a San Diego area motel. Stewart was a drug and alcohol counselor for the county of Riverside.

Dozens of people at Corona Fundamental Intermediate School were sickened by a gas-like odor yesterday morning. About 950 students were evacuated, with 51 falling ill, 14 were taken to local hospitals. The source of the odor was traced to a nearby oil-changing business.

A surfer was killed in a shark attack at Surf Beach near Vandenberg Air Force base yesterday afternoon. The man’s friends pulled him from the water but he died from his injuries.

Newly released official e-mails show that the White House and the State Department were notified that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya just two hours after it occurred. The e-mails obtained from government sources specifically mention that a Libyan group had claimed responsibility for the attack in Benghazi that killed the U.S. Ambassador and three other Americans.

The “Boston Globe” and attorney Gloria Allred are reportedly trying to unseal sworn testimony provided by  Mitt Romney.   Allred will be in a Boston area courtroom today for an emergency hearing.  She is reportedly representing one of the parties involved in a prior court case in which Romney testified.  Allred is not offering any details about the case.  The hearing falls on the same day Donald Trump has promised to make a “very big” announcement about President Obama.

Investors are looking for a rebound when Wall Street opens today. Yesterday the Dow Jones fell 243 points…its biggest one-day drop since June.

Apple is jumping into the small tablet market. The tech giant unveiled the iPad mini at an event yesterday. Prices start at 329-dollars for a 16 gigabyte version.
