Riverside County’s public defender has abruptly resigned. Gary Windom left the post on Wednesday citing personal reasons. Anonymous allegations recently surfaced against Windom criticizing his competency. However, the state Bar Association called those allegations insufficient.

Election officials now say that Measure O, the $98 million dollar Yucaipa school bond measure has failed. While the measure rreceived just over 50 percent of the vote, it needed 55 percent support to pass.
