
Hostess Brands, the maker of Twinkies and Ding Dongs is going out of business. The company announced this morning that it’s winding down operations and has filed a motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court seeking permission to shut its doors and sell its assets. Workers had gone on strike last week after the company cut wages and benefits.
San Bernardino police responding to a family disturbance yesterday afternoon shot and killed a 28 year old man after he threw a stick at them. The incident occured at a residence on north San Benito Street. Authorities say a man identified as Johnny Gonzalez charged officers and pulled a stick from his waistband. officers opened fire killing Gonzalez.

Direct TV customers will finally be able to see Lakers games. The satellite TV providers has announced a deal with TWC Sportsnet to begin carrying the games on channel 691. That leaves only Dish Network without a deal for the games.
