Police now say a triple murder in Ontario yesterday was the result of a botched home invasion robbery. Authorities say they have arrested 34 year old Steven Carter of Upland for the murders.

One victim lived at the house on South Magnolia Avenue while the other two men were reportedly Carters accomplices. Officers were called to the residence around 6:15 yesterday morning and found one man lying dead in the driveway. Two more men were found dead inside the home.  Detectives say weapons and a large amount of marijuana was found in the home.

A small quake rattled the high desert just before 5 last night. The 3.4 tremor was centered about ten miles south of Apple Valley.

Federal investigators continue to look into a deadly helicopter explosion in Corona. FAA officials now say the helicopter that burst into flames during a refueling stop at Corona Municipal Airport Sunday hit the structure above the fuel pumps. It remains unclear if the unidentified pilot killed in the explosion was in the midst of refueling at the time.

Not as many Riverside County voters took interest in this last presidential election as in 2008. Turnout was just over 70-percent. That’s roughly eight-percent less than in the 2008 general election.

Charlie Sheen’s former TV nephew could be following Sheen’s lead and talking himself out of a job on the CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men.” In a video testimonial for Foreunner Christian Church, Angus T. Jones calls the sitcom “filth” and urges viewers to stop watching it.
