The wife of Britain’s Prince William is pregnant. The prince’s office says Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, is in a London hospital for acute morning sickness. The pregnancy is said to be in its early stages. The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton took place in April, 2011 . Catherine is 30 years old.

Police have found the missing car of an elderly San Bernardino woman who was found murdered in her home last month. 76 year Mary Blaskey’s 2001 Lexus was found Saturday on the northeast side of town. No arrests have been made.

Northern California is dealing with flooding and power outages after a series of storms that began last Wednesday. They brought along with them several inches of rain and mudslides, while forcing evacuations in some areas. Light rain is falling in the Inland Empire this morning but is expected to move out later today.

The Obama administration and Republicans in Congress appear to be miles apart on keeping the economy from going over the “fiscal cliff.” Democrats and Republicans are deadlocked over averting automatic tax hikes and deep spending cuts at year’s end.
