
Developing news: The son of LA Clipper’s owner Donald Sterling has died. 32 year old Scott Sterling was found dead at a home in Malibu late last night from an apparent drug overdose.
All that’s left for the fiscal cliff bill is for it to be signed by President Obama. In a New Year’s night vote, the Republican-led House approved a Senate bill averting the automatic tax hikes and deep, across-the-board spending cuts. The bill makes permanent Bush-era tax cuts for households earning less than 450-thousand dollars a year.
The LAPD is investigating after a photographer was killed yesterday just moments after snapping shots of Justin Bieber’s Ferrari during a traffic stop last night. Authorities say Bieber was not in the car when the CHP pulled over the Ferrari for speeding along the 405. A photographer followed them, took a few shots and was headed back to his car when he was struck by another vehicle.
You’re paying a little more in sales tax today. Proposition 30 went into effect on New Year’s Day. The sales tax hike means consumers pay one penny more for every four dollars spent. While that’s not much, the tax increase is more noticeable on big ticket items like a new car.
