The Inland Empire is waking up to freezing temperatures this morning following yesterdays quick moving storm. A freeze warning is in effect until 8 this morning and gusty winds are blowing in some areas. The very cool weather will continue through the weekend with lows staying in the 30′s and daytime high only around 50.

A teacher and a campus supervisor are being hailed as heroes after they were credited for keeping another school shooting situation from getting worse. A student with a shotgun shot a classmate at Taft High School outside of Bakersfield yesterday. The wounded student is in critical but stable condition. The teacher and a campus supervisor, talked the gunman into giving up his weapon.

A Fontana middle school student was arrested earlier this week after a minor explosion in the boys locker room. No one was hurt. Authorities say the student found an explosive recipe on the internet using household chemicals and brought them to school in a water bottle.

A Rancho Cucamonga couple who recently celebrated their 70th anniversary has had their love letters returned to them 45 years after they were stolen. The letters between Lloyd and Marian Michael were written while he was in the Army during World War2 but were taken in a burglary in 1968. A Moreno Valley man discovered the letters after going through a deceased relatives belonging and managed to track down the Michaels and return them.
