President Obama will take a ceremonial oath of office for his second term today at the U.S. Capitol. The President was officially sworn in yesterdayduring a brief ceremony in the White House yesterday. The Constitution specifies the President and Vice President be formally inaugurated every four years on January 20th.

Firefighters are battling a three alarm fire at Mountain View High school in El Monte this morning. The fire has heavily damaged the schools cafeteria.

The Super Bowl match-up is all set with a coast to coast pairing less than two weeks from today. The Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers are heading to the Super Bowl in New Orleans after the Ravens beat the Patriots, 28-13, and the 9′ers beat Atlanta, 28-24.

Barbara Walters is in a Washington, DC hospital after she fell and cut her head. The 83-year-old Walters was at the British Ambassador’s home Saturday night for an inaugural party when she apparently slipped on a stair.

“Dr. King’s Dream? No One Left Behind.” That’s the theme of a walk-a-thon in downtown Riverside today marking the birthday of the assassinated civil rights leader. Other events taking place around the Inland Empire include the annual MLK Prayer Breakfast in San Bernardino.
