A man is hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting in Riverside last night. Police were called to the Peppertree Place Apartments on Arlington Avenue last night after reports of a car theft in progress. When witnesses pointed out the suspect, officers cornered him and gunfire erupted. No officers were injured. The suspect’s identity and condition has not been released.

An 80-year-old woman was stabbed and beaten in a home-invasion robbery at the Riverside Meadows Mobile Home Park yesterday morning. Police believe the same female suspect stabbed a dog during another break-in in the same area. There are reporst this morning that an arrest has been made but not details are yet available.
