A guy suspected of stealing more than $500 dollars from girl scouts selling cookies outside a Stater’s Bros. grocery store in the high desert community in Phelan Sunday night has been busted. Police arrested 20 year old Colin Sawyer last night at a nearby gas station. The above picture is a surveillance photo from the grocery store.

There was a little shaking in the Inland Empire yesterday afternoon. A quake measuring 3.5 struck near Loma Linda at 3:15. There are no reports of any damage.

Gas prices in the Inland Empire are holding steady after rising some 30 cents a gallon over the past month. Triple-A says the average price is four dollars, 26 cents a gallon. That’s about ten cents less than it was this time last year. Gas prices are expected to go up again as the region switches from winter-blend gas to the more expensive summer-blend.

This year’s NASCAR Texas 500 will be the NRA 500. The National Rifle Association is sponsoring the April 13th Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway.
