A red flag warning is posted for the Inland Empire and our local mountains as strong Santa Ana winds move blow through the region. A wind advisory is in effect until six tonight…that combined with low humidities means very dangerous fire condition.

It’s election day and there are some big decisions facing the residents of San Bernardino. They are voting on mayor and two city coucnil seats and also deciding whether to recall city attorney James Penman and two council members. Polls open at 7 am.

A 20-year-old man police believe to have opened fire last night inside of one of the biggest shopping centers in New Jersey is dead. The man apparently took his own life near the mall. No one was injured inside the mall.
A burglar was captured by police in Hemet over the weekend but he’s probably glad the person he burgled didn’t get him. Police say the man broke into the home of a former champion tomahawk thrower Saturday. He tried to take a watch off the sleeping woman’s arm. Robin Irvine says she screamed and grabbed a tomahawk she keeps by the bed. She says she could have put it right in his spine but didn’t couldn’t bring herself to throw it at him. Officers found the man hiding nearby.

One of the three Cleveland kidnapping victims will be breaking her silence on today’s “Dr. Phil” show. Michelle Knight was the first of three women to be abducted by Ariel Castro.

Drew Barrymore is expecting again. Barrymore is pregnant with her second child. Drew and her and welcomed their first daughter just 13 months ago.
