The Fontana woman accused of causing a wrong-way crash on the 60 in Diamond Bar that killed six people Sunday morning is now facing six counts of murder.

Authorities say the 21-year-old Olivia Culbreath was under the influence when she drove the wrongway. She remains hospitalized. She faces life in prison if convicted of all charges.

A high speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle that began in the San Bernardino area early this morning ended just before 5 am in Agoura Hills with CHP officers taking the driver into custody. The suspect drove at speeds of more than 90 miles per hour before surrendering.

The world has said goodnight to “The Waltons” star Ralph Waite for the last time.  According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” the actor who played the patriarch on the Depression-era drama has died at the age of 85.  The family’s accountant says Waite passed away midday on Thursday at his home in Palm Desert.

The new wife of former NFL star Terrell Owens is in serious condition after allegedly trying to take her own life. Owens and Rachel Snider got married two weeks ago. But TMZ reports Snider pulled the plug on the marriage because she felt he was using her for her money. Owens earned $70 million dollars in the NFL, but has had financial problems in recent years.

President Obama will be in Fresno today to talk about federal efforts to help California with the severe drought.

Warning labels could be coming to soda containers in California. A bill introduced in Sacramento would require warnings about obesity, tooth decay and diabetes on drinks that have more than 75 calories per 12 ounces.

Facebook users can now identify themselves as something other than male or female. Facebook is now allowing people to select up to ten gender identifications. Some of the choices include “transgender,” “intersex” and “fluid.”

It looks like fewer Americans will be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year. According to a new poll, fifty-four percent of Americans say they’re planning on celebrating the Valentines Day, compared to 60 percent last year. But those who are celebrating are plunking down some cash. The average Valentines consumer says they’ll spend 133-dollars on presents.
