Someone in Northern California is waking up to a very big payday. There was one winning ticket sold for last night $425 million dollar powerball jackpot and that ticket was sold at a gas station in Milpitas. So far the winner has not come forward. The winning numbers were 1–17–35–49–54 and the bonus number of 34.

Three Riverside police officers are off the hook on excessive force charges. Yesterday, a jury ruled in Riverside’s favor, saying the three officers were not guilty of excessive force when they shot and killed David Ledezma in his backyard during a domestic violence call in January of 2012.

The two Inland Empire men accused of brutally beating a Giants fan outside Dodger Stadium are due in court today, and may plead guilty. Marvin Norwood and Louie Sanchez are accused of severely beating Bryan Stow on Opening Day 2011. There are multiple reports of law enforcement sources saying Norwood and Sanchez will plead guilty.

Former LA TV news anchor Bree Walker was arrested for drunken driving in Anaheim early yesterday morning. Walker was pulled over after allegedly making an illegal u turn.

At the Winter games in Sochi–The ladies’ individual figure skating program ends with the free skate this morning. American Gracie Gold is fourth after yesterdays short program. In women’s hockey, the US and Canada face off in the gold medal game later this morning. The US is the current leaders in the overall medal count with 23.
