Ten people are dead and dozens more injured after a deadly head-on collision in Northern California. It happened last night on I-5 in Orland about 100 miles north of Sacramento when a FedEx semi smashed into a charter bus carrying Los Angeles and Riverside County high school students and several chaperones. The group was headed to Humboldt State University for a spring preview day. The dead include both drivers, five students and three chaperones.
UPDATE: NBC says the coroners office has identified 26 year old Arthur Arzola of Rancho Cucamonga as one of the victims killed in the crash. Arzola was working as a college recruiter. There are other reports that he was from Ontario.
UPDATE #2: The Associated Press is reporting that 17 year old Marisa Serrato, a senior at Norte Vista High School in Riverside is among those unaccounted for.
