Kate Middleton is in early labor. She and Prince William rushed to St Mary’s hospital this am. St Mary’s is where Princess Diana delivered William and Harry. The baby is 3rd in line for the throne – no matter if its a boy or girl. And William is following Royal protocol – he will call his grandma – the Queen first with the news of the baby when he or she arrives. At this time, we don’t know the sex of the baby. William and Kate chose not to find out before the birth. early reports said Kate is ‘too posh to push’ – but its not true – she will be having a natural birth. as you can imagine – all eyes are on London. and many eyes are on the door of the hospital. a few news services actually have a live stream camera fixed on the doors. Sir Paul McCartney brought the surviving members of Nirvana on stage during the encore of his Seattle concert over the weekend. Dave Grohl, Kris Novaselic and Pat Smear were all there. Of course they covered some Beatles songs – like Helter Skelter and Get Back. Plus they covered a Little Richard song – Long Tall Sally. Check out the videos here.
So last week there was a story going around last week that George Clooney tried to put the moves on Eva Longoria while he was still dating Stacy Keibler. We talked about it here. Well, according to Eva, that never happened. She tweeted “As interesting as the George Clooney rumors are, they aren’t true. George and I have been friends for years.”
Congrats to Tina Turner – she got married over the weekend. The 73-yr old singer married her longtime love at their home in Switzerland. I hear it was a lavish star-studded event for 120-of their closest famous friends and family. Guests like Oprah Winfrey and David Bowie wore white to the Buddist-inspired event – which involved guests pouring water over the couples hands.
Its not often that a horror flick beats out a family favorite – especially during the summer. Until now. The Conjuring scared up more than 41.5 million over the weekend. RYAN REYNOLDS had two new movies in theaters, but even if you add them together they still made less than “The Conjuring”. His animated movie“Turbo” earned $21.5 million in 3rd place . . . and “R.I.P.D.” made just enough for 7th place. Glee creator gave a pretty revealing interview this weekend – he says he is the one who got Cory Monteith to go to rehab in March. Ryan Murphy says when he heard Cory was in trouble with drugs he organized an intervention and got him help. He said that Cory wanted to finish the season before going to rehab and Ryan said ‘absolutely not. We are not going to put a stupid tv show before your sobriety. He said Cory felt ashamed and embarrsed – but touched that so many people care about him. I hear he came from a broken family. Ryan said “It was a tough and very emotional day and the last thing he said before he left was, ‘I want to get better.’ And I believed him.”
For the second time, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus have called off their divorce. A friend of the family says “They went into the therapy with the goal of divorcing in a way that was healthy for the children, but ended up coming out of it with the realization that they in fact want to stay together.” On Saturday night, Tish posted a picture of the two of them snuggling, with the caption “Date night.”
