Discretion is a virtue. Please avert your eyes if you grew up with Shirley Jones as the Partridge family mother and remember her in “Oklahoma!”

Jones went on “Katie” and it was game on as she discussed her memoir which spills her sexual past.

On a recent edition of the nationally syndicated daytime talk show “Katie,” Shirley Jones speaks candidly about sex and relationships. During the show, she admits to Katie that she and her first husband, Jack Cassidy, were sexually adventurous.

Jones of course is famous for her acting, and her soprano voice, and she starred in the 1950s film versions of “Oklahoma!” and “Carousel” and who captured a subsequent generation of fans in TV’s “The Partridge Family” in the 1970s.

Now, “Shirley Jones,” her new autobiography (written with Wendy Leigh and published by Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books imprint) that comes with a prologue warning: “So bring out the smelling salts, hang on to your hats, and get ready for the surprise of your lives!”

A large part of the book is spent on her storied marriage to Cassidy, the handsome actor and singer whom she describes in a passage as her first lover and “sexual Svengali,” and Cassidy’s pre-marital sexual encounter with Cole Porter.

Her book sounds like an interesting read! Make sure and connect with me on my facebook page by clicking here.
