I listen to the Elvis remake song of Suspicious-minds and I don’t like it. I was a teenager in the 1950′s and I LOVED ELVIS. I like the orginal better. I have all of Elvis songs.

  2. John Says:

It’s Ok but I like the orginal better!

Elvis’ Oh’ I think he would have liked this remix…it has a intro that is mature and showcases his spectacular voice with class. He wanted it,(the original) to be more of a harder rock version on record than what was released in late 69′.
The original,”Suspicious Minds” is a classic, even with all of the multi-track over dubs..strings & horns which he was unaware of according to life long friend
Jerry Schilling,…as they were driving down Sunset Blvd In Hollywood and Elvis aked him to pull over and get the 45′ he had not heard RCA’s version, but hey… it is the most famous song in history with a fake fade during the last verse..so and a long 4-min+ playing time,(not cool with Am/Fm stations) of that time.It still went # 1 then!
This new mix..then after the slower tempo intro… it starts to really rock!
Back in Jan of 69′it took him multple takes in Memphis 41-ys ago to get it the way he wanted it even then, he really struggled with the song,….the result is truely a beautiful classic..!! either of them.
