Yesterdays rain has led to flooding problems around the Inland Empire. Drivers had to be rescued by emergency crews Thursday afternoon when several vehicles got stuck in mudflows along San Timoteo Road and Reche Canyon Road. And swift water rescue crews had to pull several homeless people from the flooded Santa Ana river bed in Colton last night. No major injuries were reported but we could see more rain today.

Police have arrested a 13 year old Lake Elsinore boy for allegedly stealing a bronze dove that was part of a statue honoring slain sheriffs deputy Jeremiah McKay in Lake Arrowhead. Police were led to the boy after he allegedly bragged about stealing the dove on instagram. The dove was recovered from a shoe box in the boy’s room.

The city of Dallas is preparing to observe the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy today. A moment of silence will be held in Dealey plaza at the exact time when Kennedy shot. In LA–the coliseum torch has been lit to mark the anniversary.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling 600-thousand baby monitors due to a cord that poses a strangulation risk. Two infants have died because of a cord attached to the Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor. Angelcare will provide a free repair kit.
