A nine year old girl has died and her seven year old brother is hospitalized after being hit by a pick up truck as they walked home from school in Rancho Cucamonga yesterday afternoon. The children were crossing East Avenue at Banyon after leaving Etiwanda Colony Elemntary when they were hit by a Ford F-350. The girl identified as Ashley Gardner was killed. Her brother was injured but is expected to recover. The 69 year old man driving the pick up told police he didn’t see the children.

A Corona woman who vanished earlier this week has been located. Jane Warwick was last seen boarding a Metrolink train in Corona on Monday morning until she was found in Orange County Wednesday but the details of her being found remain unclear. She is hospitalized with an unspecified medical condition.

The man accused of going on a deadly shooting spree at Los Angeles International Airport will remain behind bars.  Paul Ciancia was denied bail during his first court appearance inside a federal courtroom in San Bernardino County.  His next court appearance will take place later this month.  Ciancia did not enter a plea.

A cybersecurity company says nearly two-million accounts on Facebook, Google, Twitter, Yahoo, and other social media sites have been hacked. Trustwave reports the hackers stole more than one and-a-half million website login credentials and 320-thousand email account credentials. Most of the thefts appear to overseas.

People demanding higher wages for fast food employees will stage nationwide rallies and a few walkouts today. The effort, which is being backed in part by the Service Employees International Union, looks to substantially increase the wages of fast food workers.
