A San Jacinto man who disappeared under mysterious circumstances yesterday has been found this morning by in Whitewater. John Eckers wife reported him missing after he didn’t turn up for work in Glendora yesterday morning. His truck was later found near Indio. He was found wandering in Whitewater this morning but the circumstances that led to his disappearance still aren’t clear.

San Gorgonio High School in San Bernardino was locked down for about an hour yesterday afternoon. That after a traffic accident and reports of shots fired near the school. A man linked to the crash fled onto the campus. The guy got away but police did find a hand gun and a bullet resistant vest. No students were injured.

Gold medal winning skier Lindsay Vonn has just announced that she won’t at the upcoming winter games due to a knee injury.
LA County Sheriff Lee Baca is reportedly resigning today. Multiple sources are saying that the 71-year-old sheriff is stepping down in the middle of his re-election campaign amid several scandals including 18 current and former deputies accused of beating inmates.

A former Marine from Hemet busted for smuggling a rifle from Saddam Hussein’s palace into the U.S. is now a free man. Joel Miller had his conviction on gun charges overturned by an appellate court and was released from federal prison after serving nine months of a two-year sentence. Miller claimed he was framed.

Longtime San Bernardino County Supervisor Gary Ovitt is calling it quits after serving two-terms.

There were some awkward moments for “Transformers” director Michael Bay at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas yesterday. Bay was supposed to be introducing Samsung’s new 150-inch curved TV set, but he got off to a rough start fumbling his lines. After a moment he apologized and walked off stage.
