The FBI is searching for a convicted felon and registered sex offender who may be on the run in Southern California. Kevin Briggs, who has multiple sexual assault convictions, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman, then trying to strangle her before leaving the scene, and punching an officer in the face while being arrested in Bozeman, Montana.

The two Rialto men accused in the brutal beating of a Giants fan at Dodger stadium three years ago pleaded guilty as part of a plea bargain yesterday. Louie Sanchez was senetnced to 8 years in prison while Marvin Norwood got four. Both men still face illegal weapons charges.

Nearly 200 thousand teething toys sold exclusively at Target stores are being recalled because they are a choking hazard. The Go Gaga Squeeze & Teethe Coco the Monkey toys were sold in stores and online from December 2012 through this January for around 13-dollars.

There is a move afoot to split California into six states including one called South California that would include the IE.. A petition drive is now underway to put the idea on the ballot. A Bay Area venture capitalist says the split would mean better representation.

At the Winter Olympics in Sochi– The U.S. men’s hockey team hits the ice this morning against Canada in the second of two semifinals. Both teams are unbeaten in Olympic play. Yesterday the US womens hockey team lost a heart breaker to Canada 3-2 in the gold medal game. The US still leads the overall medal count with 25.
