A couple in Northern California are literally counting their lucky coins after finding several cans of rare gold coins on their property. The husband and wife, who wish to remain anonymous, were walking their dog this month when they noticed something shiny on the ground. They started digging and came up with eight metal cans holding more than 14-hundred gold coins. David Hall of Professional Coin Grading Service authenticated the coins which are dated from 1847 to 1894 and most were minted in San Francisco. They have a combined face value of about 27-thousand dollars, but experts say they could get as much as 10-million-dollars from collectors.
