Thousands of new jobs are on the way to the Inland Empire thanks to a new warehouse-logistics center being planned for Rancho Cucamonga. The $150 million dollar project at Arrow Route and Etiwanda was just announced and it will feature two large distribution buildings. Once completed next May it could employ up to 4000 people.

President Obama says the troops who stormed French beaches 70 years ago today changed history and helped defeat Hitler’s Nazi regime. He made the comments in Normandy, France to mark the anniversary of the major D-Day offensive.

We could have a drought busting winter on the way. Scientists now say there is an 82 percent chance of moderate El Nino conditions this winter. Traditionally El Nino conditions means much more rain and snow than normal.

A couple of food recalls to tell you about…Costco is recalling its Kirkland Signature Coarse Ground Malabar Black Pepper over salmonella concerns. And Rite Aid is recalling 16 ounce containers of Thirfty mint n chip ice cream because it may actually contian pistachio ice cream.

Honesty paid off for a recovering drug addict in Fresno who found a bag full of cash. Joe Cornell, who is staying at a sober
living home, saw a bag fall off a brinks truck Wednesday. That bag contained $125,000 dollars. But Joe turned it in saying it was just the right thing to do. Brinks rewarded him with a $5000 debit card. His wife hopes the story of his honesty will help him find a job.

How much money do you need to be happy? CNN asked people that and half of them said they would be happy if they earned just under $100,000 a year…25 percent said they’d be happy earning between 50 and 75,ooo dollars.  6 percent said money can’t buy happiness.
