USA Track and Field shows the photo finish between Jeneba Tarmoh and Allyson Felix in the women’s 100 meter dash on June 23.  Tarmoh and Felix are both officially timed in 11.068 seconds.  Tied for 3rd place.  The two ladies were scheduled to have a run-off on today at 5PM to break their deadlock for the last US 100-meter berth at the London Olympics, USA Track and Field announced Sunday.  Winner makes the Olympic team & a trip to London, loser becomes an alternate.  But Jeneba Tarmoh  has withdrawn.  ”I Jeneba Tarmoh have decided to decline my 3rd place position in the 100m dash to Alyson Felix,” Tarmoh said in email forwarded to USATF President and Chairman Stephanie Hightower at 9:37 a.m. PT by Tarmoh’s agent Kimberly Holland. What makes it tough is that they’re best friends, and they train together.   Here’s more on the story!  Wonder what’s really behind her decision?    Connect with me on  Face Book!
