“Blue Moon,.. You saw me standing alone,..Without a dream in my heart ,..Without a love of my own”,..you might want to circle your calendar for Friday (Aug. 31) it’s the last chance to see a so-called “blue moon” for nearly three years.  Okay,..Friday’s full moon won’t actually be blue,   In any event, blue moons aren’t named for their color, and they look like any other full moon in the sky most of the time. Rather, the term has always been associated with an “extra” full moon. In the first half of the 20th century, for example, it apparently referred to the third full moon of a season — spring, summer, winter or fall — that’s  four full moons instead of the usual three.  Doesn’t sound very romantic to me?   Are blue moons supposed to be romantic?  Hey I like the song!
