These aren’t your daddy’s “Munsters.” Some time ago we learned NBC was bringing the classic 1960s sitcom about a family of horror-movie monsters and turning it into a dark drama called “Mockingbird Lane.” But  creative differences between the network and creator Bryan Fuller, NBC scrapped the series the $10 million pilot into a stand-alone Halloween special, airing October 26 at 8 PM.   Hmmm,…for me The Munsters were creepy, that’s waht made The Munsters!  These look like regular people (sorta)!  So who’s playing Herman?  It’s Jerry O’Connell (middle of stairs) as dad Herman; Portia de Rossi (next to Jerry,..aka Herman) as mom Lily; Eddie Izzard (top of stairs) as vampire Grandpa; Mason Cook (“Spy Kids in 4D”) as werewolf son Eddie; and British newcomer Charity Wakefield as “plain” cousin Marilyn.  So what do you think?  Some things should be left alone!  Stick with the Classics!  Connect with me on Face Book!
