For the last couple of weeks I’ve driven by this symbol (on a retaining wall on the 10 freeway between Redlands & Yucaipa) and wonder: “Is it the Sun?  or raindrop? what is this a symbol of?    The artwork is a depiction of a geoglyph that was once ground into the hillside near the Yucaipa Pass by a Native American tribe from the region.  Officials say that it was created by “prehistoric Indians,” and a team of historians researched with other symbols in the region to see if it was possibly a solar solstice marker or an insect native to the area. Wow!  Interesting & cool!  Mystery solved!   So have you seen it?  More info here!  Connect with me on Face Book!
