Singer, songwriter, composer Carole King gets her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,…FINALLY! Carole King received the 2,486th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday. In 1971, King released the album, “Tapestry,” which sold more than 25 million copies. But, more than 400 of Carole’s songs have been recorded by more than 1,000 artists, resulting in 100 hit singles. Here’s why I think she’s has to be one the great songwriters, (along with her husband Gerry Giffin) she wrote (I’ll just name a few): Will You Still Love me Tomorrow-Shirelles, Loco-motion-Little Eva, Up on a Roof-Drifters, Pleasant Valley Sunday-Monkees, Don’t Bring me Down-Animals, Natural Woman-Aretha Franklin, You’ve Got a Friend -James Taylor..and a whole lot more! Plus 4 Grammy Awards & in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame! Quite a career! Congrats Carole! See Carole unveil her star here! Connect on Face Book here!
