A rare Belgian beer called Westvleteren XII (or “Westy”) is produced by Trappist monks at the abbey of Saint Sixtus in the Belgian countryside, and only available for purchase through hard-to-get reservations. Now I’m not a big beer expert, so I’m probably not the one to ask why “Westy” it’s so good Not to say that the beer isn’t good, it is: “Westy is good — really, really good, according to LA Weekly. Might have to do with that the monks make only make a limited supply? On Dec. 12, a limited number of stores began selling “bricks” of the beer — a gift box with six 11.2-ounce bottles and two glasses — for $84.99! Would you pay $85 for a six pack of beer? or six pack of anything? Face Book here!
