So have you ever thought: “how much is that Oscar statue really worth?”  Every year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hands out Oscars, 13-inch statues made of gold-plated pewter and worth about $500.  But it’s worth a lot more to the movie studios & actors who win an Oscar.  A Best Picture winner can expect an average of 21% increase in revenues.   More for the actors who also receive an Oscar for Best Actor/Actress & supporting roles.  In plain English  millions & millions of dollars!   So, that little 13″-inch statue is worth a heck of a lot more than $500!  Enjoy the Oscars on Sunday 5:30pm on ABC.   Vic KOLA Face Book here.
