The book, a note & the fine all there 40 years late!  A self-confessed slow reader has handed back an overdue library book ? a staggering 41 years after first signing it out.  The unnamed borrower returned “The Real Book About Snakes” to Champaign County Library in Urbana, Ohio, last week alongside a note of apology and his $299.30 fine in cash. “Sorry I’ve kept this book so long but I’m a really slow reader!” he wrote in the message. “I’ve enclosed my fine of $299.30 (41 years — 2 cents a day). Once again, my apologies!!“  Have you ever kept a library book?   Face Book here,
