The Hawaii Dollar Bill Game

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
As of 4/2/08

Starting on or about Monday April 7TH through Friday May 16TH 2008, KOLA 99.9 FM will conduct a contest, (THE HAWAII DOLLAR BILL GAME), whereas listeners will have the chance to win $100 (a hundred dollars) and qualify to win a trip for (2) to The Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu. Persons must be at least 21 years of age. KOLA 99.9 FM is not responsible for the inability of the listener to enter through technical, mechanical or other errors associated with entering said contest. Only (1) winner or qualifier per household

The contest begins when listeners hear the "THE HAWAII DOLLAR BILL GAME" solicit. The contest solicit specifies that in order to play, the listener must have a one dollar bill with three 9's anywhere in the serial number. The 9's do not have to be in order. But there must be at least three 9's somewhere in the serial number. The (19th) caller (with a dollar bill that has at least three 9's anywhere in the serial number) at 909-798-5600 (during contest hours) will then be asked to tell us the serial number in their one dollar bill. If that person does in fact have three 9's in the serial number, as determined by KOLA, that person then wins $100 (one hundred dollars). That person then qualifies to win the weekly grand prize of a trip for (2) to The Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu. Once a person has qualified for a trip to Hawaii, that person is automatically entered into every weekly grand prize drawing. Weekly Grand Prize scheduled to be given away each Friday during the contest dates at approximately 4:10pm. At or about that time, one name will be selected. All names announced are randomly drawn from all the entries available at that time. That person and that person only will have 9 minutes and 99 seconds to contact KOLA at 909-798-5600. If they do, they will win the weekly grand prize trip to Hawaii. No other person may call on behalf of the potential winner, only that person who's name was announced may call back. If it's determined at that time or at a later time that the person representing themselves as the announced winner is not in fact that person, all prizes will be forfeited. Additionally, that person and the person entering will be banned from any KOLA contests for (1) full year. The person's name who is announced as the winner is only a "potential" winner as that person must meet all eligibility requirements in order to be the actual winner. The announcement or the airing of that person's voice is not the final determination as to that person's eligibility of winning said prize. If the person, who's named was announced previously, does not call back in the designated amount of time, an announcement will be made that the 99th caller will be taken. The 99th caller is only a "potential winner". That person must also meet all eligibility requirements.

In order to claim the qualifying prize of $100 (one hundred dollars) that person must bring into the KOLA studios at 1940 Orange Tree Lane Suite 200 in Redlands, Ca 92374 that specific dollar bill to match with the number given to KOLA at the time of qualifying. If that person cannot show possession of said dollar bill (no photo copies accepted), that person does not collect the $100 qualifying prize and is not qualified to win the weekly grand prize trip to Hawaii. A dollar bill's unique serial number may only be used once by one person to qualify. If it's determined that the unique serial number for that dollar bill has been previously used to qualify, then any further qualifying is void and no cash prize or qualifying will occur with any listener associated with that serial number. All cash prizes (including those issued by check) requires a valid government issued picture ID, and valid Social Security card and must be picked up in person at the KOLA STUDIOS. Allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of any cash prize in the form of check. . All local, state, and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
