Today is this year's KOLA Cares For Kids fundraising event for the Kids at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital!
KOLA 99.9 FM has supported Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH) and helping children throughout the Inland Empire for the past 11 years. Last year KOLA listeners donated over $75,000! That gave us a total exceeding $1.2 million since our first event in 2003!
Together we've donated, over 8,500 KOLA bears. Three (3) transport ventilators for the neo-natal intensive care unit. A ventilator, Baby Pac and MRI to be used during transport on the helicopter and ambulances. Plus, many more life-saving items.
Help us keep it going by joining us this year to help KOLA Care For Kids!
An Inland Empire Resource for the Kids!
LLUCH serves over 1.2 million children in San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo counties. Over 3,500 children are transferred to LLUCH from other medical facilities each year.
Over 15,000 children last year were admitted to LLUCH & over 160,000 were treated as outpatients.
Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital is committed to providing treatment for every child. This is the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center serving San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo & Mono Counties. No trauma patient is ever turned away. Treatment comes first, finances are sorted out later.
Over 85% of the children treated at LLUCH are under-insured or not covered by insurance at all.
