We’ve known since 2019 that the Mission Tiki drive-ins days were numbered when the open-air theater in Montclair was sold to an industrial developer. Then the pandemic hit and progress on plans and permits was halted.. so the new buyer allowed the drive-in to continue operating. But that all came to an end this past Sunday with “M3GAN,” “Plane” and “A Man Called Otto” the last films to be shown. Luckily, we still have the Rubidoux Drive-in and the Van Buren drive-in … both in Riverside.
