The long-awaited trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is finally here (below). It has been a long road for the sequel. Like many films made in the COVID-19 era, The Lost Kingdom has pushed its date multiple times. At one point, it was going to open in December 2022. That changed to March 2023, before being pushed to Christmas 2023. The film – starring Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II — comes in the midst of the SAG-AFTRA strike, which, if not resolved by December, means the film will premiere without the benefit of a publicity push from its stars. 2018’s Aquaman, still stands as the highest grossing DC movie of all time with $1.148 billion at the box office.
