Must-Watch Mama Movies | Melissa Chavez |

Harper’s Bazaar put a list together of the best movies to watch in honor of Mother’s Day. I’ll get to that in a second, but first I have to recommend one of my go-to flicks that didn’t make the list. In Because I said So, Diane Keaton nails the role of a neurotic, helicopter mom to three daughters played by Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham and Piper Perabo. Keaton’s character creates chaos when she intervenes in the love life of her youngest, (Moore.) Unbeknownst to Moore’s character, her mom is actually the reason two suitors (Gabriel Macht and Tom Everett Scott) end up vying for her heart. The mama-daughter relationship portrayed by Keaton and Moore is funny, endearing and I think for a lot us, relatabable. As for the must-watch mom movies according to Harper’s Bazaar, Academy Award Best Picture winner Everything, Everywhere All at Once took the number three spot. 1998’s The Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan nabbed second. And the top Mother’s Day movie according to Harper’s Bazaar is Mamma Mia! starring Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried. For the full list, click here.
