Stranger Things may have wrapped its five-season run, but even satisfied fans were left wondering — is it really done… done? Turns out, not quite. Netflix and creators Matt and Ross Duffer are expanding the Stranger Things universe with two spinoffs, including one animated series and one live-action project. The animated series, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, is set in the winter of 1985 between seasons 2 and 3 and will feature the original characters facing new paranormal problems in Hawkins, voiced by a new cast, with a classic ’80s cartoon feel, arriving in 2026. Meanwhile, the live-action spinoff is in early development and will introduce a new decade, new characters, and a fresh storyline, while still existing within the Stranger Things universe, opening the door to new stories beyond Hawkins. Either way, I’m psyched about what these two new projects will bring.
