Safe to say we’ve all had a major oops moment at one point or another, but most of ours, thankfully aren’t televised for the whole world to see. Cher didn’t have that luxury at the 68th Annual Grammys. When Cher was introducing nominees for, “Record of the Year,” she was under the impression the name of the winner would populate on the teleprompter so her waiting for that info turned into an awkward moment of silence. When Cher finally realized the name was actually in her envelope, she announced Luther Vandross, but failed to mention Kendrick Lamar or SZA the artists who for the song, “Luther,” that pays homage to the late singer. Social media erupted as a result with Luther Vandross trending.
